Project Manager

Full-Time | Remote / Field-Based

GEM is a veteran-owned design-build firm specializing in premium remodeling across the Greater Rochester area. We are adding a Project Manager to work alongside our Lead Designer and help manage a growing project load while also bringing in new business when the schedule allows.

This is a hands-on role. You are in the field making sure materials are on site, crews are not waiting, and projects stay on schedule. You also need to know how to estimate materials, write up what is needed, and make sure nothing gets missed. When your schedule allows, you sell. When a project you bring in closes, you earn commission on top of your salary.

No office. No set hours. You work from home and in the field. What matters is that projects run smooth, crews have what they need, and clients are taken care of.

PAY

$55,000 \u2013 $85,000 salary based on experience, plus commission on projects you sell.

Bonus on projects you bring to the company yourself.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Manage active remodeling projects from start to finish

Order all materials and make sure everything is on the job site before crews arrive \u2014 crews should never be waiting on materials

Write material estimates and know exactly what each project needs

Keep crews on schedule and hold them accountable

Coordinate with our Lead Designer to make sure every project is delivered to spec

Sell remodeling projects when your schedule allows \u2014 consultations, proposals, closing

Keep clients informed and respond to calls, texts, and emails in a timely manner

Document everything \u2014 notes, photos, updates. We run a fully digital operation

WHAT YOU BRING

Remodeling experience \u2014 you must know the trade inside and out

Ability to estimate materials accurately and know exactly what a crew will need for every phase of a project

Experience ordering and coordinating material deliveries

Experience managing subcontractors and keeping projects on schedule

Ability to manage multiple active projects at the same time

Strong knowledge of kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and general remodeling

Sales ability \u2014 you can talk to a homeowner, understand what they want, and close the deal

Self-motivated \u2014 you run your own schedule and own your results

Must live in or around Monroe County and know the area

Valid driver\u2019s license and reliable transportation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a field position. You will be on job sites daily. You should be comfortable standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in active construction environments.
