SKILLED REMODELING CREW MEMBER
GEM is hiring a skilled remodeling crew member who takes pride in quality work and shows up ready to build. This is a hands-on position. You work every day on kitchens and bathrooms alongside a small skilled crew.
This role is for someone who wants steady work, clear direction, and a company built around quality.
SERVICE AREA
We work throughout Monroe County and Wayne County.
Candidate must live within Monroe County or Wayne County.
POSITION OVERVIEW
You work directly on active remodel projects.
Crews start small and skilled.
You follow plans, stay productive, and deliver clean results.
Attention to detail matters.
Skill matters.
Consistency matters.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Perform hands-on remodeling work daily.
Follow plans and directions from the working foreman.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Handle materials properly.
Work efficiently without cutting corners.
Support the crew to keep projects on schedule.
SKILLS REQUIRED
You must have real remodeling experience.
Tile installation
Plumbing
Light electrical
Framing
Flooring
Drywall
Painting
Finish carpentry
We mainly build kitchens and bathrooms. You must know how to work clean and precise in finished homes.
WORK SCHEDULE
Forty hour work week.
Four days per week.
The crew chooses one schedule and keeps it consistent.
Monday through Thursday
or
Tuesday through Friday
PAY STRUCTURE
Competitive hourly pay based on skill and experience.
1099 or W-2 options available.
BENEFITS
Five paid vacation or sick days after 45 days.
Paid major holidays.
Paid time off every year from Christmas week through New Year after six months.
Year round work.
Referral bonus for projects you bring to GEM and we close.
Insurance and other benefits discussed after 90 days.
TOOLS
If you want to supply your own tools GEM is not responsible for them. Company tools will not be supplied if you use any of your own tools. (no tool allowance)
GEM Tools must be accounted for daily and secured every night.
REQUIREMENTS
Must live in Monroe County or Wayne County.
Valid driver license.
Reliable transportation to job sites.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work as part of a small crew.
